Why study in Denmark from Nepal?
Denmark is one of the most structured and achievable European pathways for Nepali students in 2026–27. It has a higher student-visa success rate from Nepal than the UK, Germany, France or the Netherlands, no annual cap on student permits, and no field-of-study restriction on post-graduation work rights. Its business academies and universities build internships and real industry projects into the curriculum, so you graduate employable.
Intakes and application
The primary intake is September, with applications opening between October and February/March depending on the university; competitive programs at institutions like UCPH and DTU close as early as January. Some programs offer a February intake. You apply directly to the institution, then file your permit through the SIRI portal.
Costs and staying on
Tuition for non-EU students generally runs DKK 45,000–120,000 per year depending on the program. PhD programs are the exception — they are salaried employment contracts with no tuition. After graduating, Denmark's generous 3-year job-seeking permit gives you real time to build a career and move toward settlement.
