Why study in Finland from Nepal?
Finland has become the smartest European choice for Nepali students who want a world-class degree without impossible entry barriers. Over 400 programs are taught fully in English, the visa process is transparent, and — unlike most of Europe — recent legislation now counts your study time toward permanent residence, giving Finland one of the clearest PR pathways on the continent.

Intakes and deadlines
Finland has two main intakes: January and September. Applications for the January 2027 intake are open now. Because the residence permit (Migri) process takes time, early applicants get the widest program choice and travel without last-minute stress.
Tuition, scholarships and living costs
Tuition for English-taught bachelor's and master's programs runs roughly €6,000–€18,000 per year, and most universities offer early-bird, merit or performance scholarships covering 50%, 75% or even 100% of fees for strong applicants. Budget around €700–€900 a month for living costs — lower in student cities like Joensuu, Kokkola and Tampere than in Helsinki. Students may work up to 30 hours per week during term and full-time in holidays.
